Seasoned travelers know the feeling all too well. The bustling pace of an airport, whether or domestic or international, rarely offers the sense of calm that they so desire.
Recognizing this, Air France has continued to raise the standards of comfort and give travelers a true break from the airports hurried environment by opening a new lounge at the heart of Bordeaux-Mérignac airport.
With furnishings and décor designed by our Paris office, the new lounge features a relaxation area that ensures confidentiality, privacy and calm for people taking domestic flights as well as those connecting to the Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub. The lounge utilizes themes of fresh, bright colors paired with light wood furnishings that are in line with the concept of Air France’s flagship business class lounge at Paris CDG airport, which was also designed by our Paris team, in partnership with Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance.
“This project is part of the overall effort to upscale Air France’s services,” said Alain Doré, Executive Creative Director Brandimage. “Our strategy in creating this specific concept focused on the difference of client expectations when traveling short haul.”
A large guest table allows busy travelers with just a few minutes to spare to enjoy a coffee or snack. There are also large work tables and a collaborative area for customers to concentrate, talk or hop online between flights.
“We emphasized the visibility of services, enhanced the brand codes for immediate recognition and seamlessly integrated the customer journey for a short passage. While conveying an equally high-end image and level of quality, this lounge concept is brighter in colors and more immediate than the one we designed for the flagship.” Doré added.
Whether you’re traveling to Metropolitan France or have a connecting flight, all eligible Air France customers can enjoy a real haven of peace at the heart of the Bordeaux airport.
